Vision Pro: Apple launches VR Headset

Appleā€™s new Virtual Reality (VR) headset went on sale on Friday at $3,499 a pop, and its taken over the social media with videos of people wearing it on the streets, subway and even while driving.

Until now, computers have been a 2D device with a fixed screen, keyboard and a mouse. But Vision Pro is a paradigm shift into ā€œSpatial Computingā€, where you interact in 3D using hands and gestures.

Spatial Computing in Vision Pro

Broadly speaking, hereā€™s what the Vision Pro can do:

  • Entertainment: Vision Pro comes with two 4K screens and spatial audio which together provides you an immersive 3D viewing experience, anywhere.

  • Work: Vision Pro extends your Macbook into virtual screens of any size! Instead of mouse and keyboard, just navigate with your eyes and hand gestures.

  • Communications: Life-size facetime calls, record and watch 3D memories of your events.

  • Product Questions, example - are these shoes durable?

  • Recommendations, example - What are best dinosaur toys for a 5-year-old?
