  • Better Performance: It responds to audio inputs in 232 to 320 milliseconds, similar to human conversation speed. It also Matches GPT-4 Turbo in English text and coding tasks.

  • Cost and Speed: GPT-4o is 50% cheaper and twice as fast as GPT-4 Turbo.

  • Improved Understanding: Better at processing and understanding non-English texts, vision, and audio compared to previous models.

Google announces major AI features at I/O Conference

Google announced major AI updates across multiple products at the annual I/O conference. Here’s everything -

  • Project Astra: Uses Gemini AI create a more natural conversation experience. It can quickly respond and even use the camera to answer questions based on what you're pointing at.

  • Circle to Search: Use your camera to search on Android devices.

  • Gemini Nano: Smaller, faster version of Gemini AI with features like scam warning popups during calls.

  • AI in Android 15: Live voice conversations with AI and camera-based responses

  • Google Search: Your search queries on google might now include “AI Overviews” of the search results.
