Siri is expected to get a significant AI upgrade
Apple’s new AI model, ReALM, could be better than OpenAI’s GPT-4. The AI model handles variety of situations and scenarios, that make it more useful in real-life tasks.
According to Apple, ReALM can understand -
Onscreen objects: Content displayed on your screen.
Conversational Entities: Content relevant to your conversation.
Background Entities: Content from background processes that might not necessarily be a direct part of user’s interaction. Example, music playing in the background.
The new AI models are expected to be integrated with Siri in the upcoming iOS 18 (Read More)

Elon Musk announced the upcoming launch of Tesla robotaxis on August 8th. Here's what you need to know:
Shifting focus on self-driving: Instead of a mass market cheaper electric vehicle, Tesla is focusing on autonomous cars that drive themselves.
Shared robotaxis: Tesla owners might earn money by letting others use them, part of something called the Tesla Network.
Laws & Regulations: around safety of passengers and everyone else on the road could restrict the areas allowed to be served by robotaxis.
Next Apple device could be a personal Robot
Apple is considering venturing into the personal robotics sector, according to Bloomberg.
Engineers at the tech giant are said to be developing a mobile robot that can accompany users in their homes. In addition, they have also created an innovative table-top robotic device that uses a moveable screen.
However, these projects are still in their early stages and it remains uncertain whether they will eventually be launched.
Microsoft makes big advance in Quantum Computing

Microsoft and Quantinuum have created a super accurate quantum computing system, capable of more than 14,000 experiments without making mistakes. Here's how they did it:
Smart Combo: They mix real qubits (quantum bits) into virtual ones. This helps find and fix errors way better.
Super Low Errors: Their method is 800 times more accurate than just using real qubits by themselves.
This big step forward means we're getting closer to "Level 2 Resilient" quantum computing. That means computers that can help solve huge problems like climate change and finding new medicines. (Read More)
